Dr. Rheude, a native of Canandaigua and a Canandaigua Academy alumnus, received his B.S. degree in Biology from Providence College. He completed his dental school education at the University of Buffalo with a D.D.S. degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society. Dr. Rheude then went on to receive both his Orthodontic Certificate of specialty training and master's degree in orthodontics.
Dr. Rheude then went on to serve six years in the Air Force as Chief Orthodontist at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, where he treated patients and served as a professor for the Advance Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program. Dr. Rheude achieved the rank of Major. Dr. Rheude became board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics right after finishing his Air Force career.

Dr. Rheude is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and local Monroe County District Dental Society. He has been published in acclaimed national orthodontic journals including The Angle Orthodontist and Journal of Implantology for articles relating to digital orthodontic records and bone remodeling.

Dr. Rheude, his wife Becky and their three children are excited to be back in the Finger Lakes community. Some of his hobbies include basketball, traveling and snowboarding, but most of all spending time with his family.
